Before we celebrate 40 years, Bhushan sat down and shared a little about where he came from, the people who shaped him, and what this weekend means to him. Some answers are funny, some are personal, and a few might surprise you. Welcome to his world.
Where were you born, and where did you grow up?
Born in India, but Philly has always been home. Moving here at a young age without knowing a word of English wasn't easy. Trying to fit in, make friends, and adjust to a completely new environment came with its challenges. But those experiences helped shape who I am today. Growing up in Philly taught me resilience, the importance of relationships, and how to connect with people from all walks of life. Philly isn't just where I grew up, it's a big part of who I am, and it will always be my home.
